Why We Created Thrive

Gig workers, micro-enterprises, independent professionals, and impact-driven organizations fuel our communities and the economy.  Creating two-thirds of all new jobs and contributing 43.5% to the GDP. But despite their impact, they’re often left behind.

They’re navigating regulations built for large organizations and businesses, with little access to the right information or capital tailored to their needs. They juggle building infrastructure, growing revenue, hiring staff, and creating a brand—all with limited resources—while competing against other businesses with 10x the support.

This does not need to remain the norm.

At Thrive, we’re rewriting the playbook. Our dynamic backend ecosystem is designed to help independent entrepreneurs and small teams get the tools and resources they need to fight above their weight class —not tomorrow, but today.

The Evolution of THRIVE

2018The Vision

Through years of experience and research, we discovered a fundamental challenge holding 1099 contractors, gig workers, micro and small businesses: they're caught in a constant juggle, trying to grow their business while simultaneously searching for the right people, tools, and support.

Let's be honest—while their are countless tools and training programs that exist, they lack one component a clear, sequential path tailored to a business's specific growth stage. The everyday entrepreneur has been left without a their unique roadmap, unable to prepare for and seize opportunities as they arise.

No true ecosystem existed for gig workers, micro-businesses, small businesses, and impact-driven organizations —one that could meet them exactly where they are, conceptually, financially, and operationally.

We saw the gap and envisioned a solution: a holistic system that brings everything they need together. This included affordable tools, flexible payment options, on-demand learning, discounted essential services, and access to people, networks, and other organizations that are also focused on one thing we are solely focused on - the business of you.

Nothing like this existed before. So we built it.

Thrive’s mission is to energize the millions of engines driving the economy – the gig workers, micro-enterprises, small business owners, and impact-driven organizations – by giving them access to a backend ecosystem of interconnected resources, which include organizations, individuals, businesses, and tools that work together to create a self-sustaining, circular system. This system fuels a regenerative, cascading flywheel that benefits and supports all.

How We Think

Gig workers, micro-businesses, small businesses, and impact-driven organizations are the engines that drive the economy—creating two-thirds of net new jobs and driving our country's innovation. Yet 23.2% fail within the first year, and nearly half fail within five years. Not because of bad ideas. But because of systemic inefficiencies and limited access to resources.
